Unrealistic and childish skins will ruin Battlefield's identity
Hello Battlefield Team,
With the latest update, I feel that some of the new skins and gameplay changes have moved away from the core realism that defines the Battlefield series. For example, the new “blue-uniformed ground forces” simply don’t fit the authentic military atmosphere that Battlefield is known for. Designs like these, as well as overly stylized or “feminized” skins, take away from the immersion and realism that many of us value.
I plan to run my own realism-focused server, where unrealistic or exaggerated skins won’t be allowed. They will be kicked out from server over over again. Battlefield has always stood out for its tactical gameplay and immersive war atmosphere, and I would love to see the game continue in that direction instead of leaning toward a more arcade or fantasy style.
Another major issue is the overall game speed. Right now, it feels like everyone is skating on ice — the movement is too fast and unrealistic. This not only breaks immersion but also causes motion discomfort; after about an hour and a half, I feel dizzy and have to stop playing. This never happened in Battlefield 1 or Battlefield V, because those games had a slower, more tactical pace and map design that supported strategic movement.
My suggestions:
1. Expand or redesign the existing maps to feel larger and more tactical.
2. Slow down overall movement speed to create a more realistic, grounded experience.
3. Maintain a consistent visual style that matches the Battlefield theme of realism.
4. Regularly update and expand existing maps with new seasons.
As a long-time fan of the series, I truly love Battlefield, but trying to make it feel like Call of Duty risks losing what makes it special. Please keep Battlefield’s soul alive — tactical, realistic, and immersive.
Thank you for your time and effort.
