You are entitled to your opinion as said you have invested a whole 45 hours or less in Battlefield 3 and you found that you didn’t like the suppression feature, that is fine. But this is relative to what I expressed earlier. Those videos were probably posted by someone who also does not like the feature with the first one clearly trying to demonstrate it for satirical purposes but regardless the video is going to be edited to reflect the thoughts of the author. It should also be noted that the video posts you have supplied are from March and April 2012 additional patches were released around June of the same year that modified the weapon physics and I think there was also one or two more patches released later on in the same year that further corrected any additional bugs missed.
The issue here isn’t that someone doesn’t like suppression (you can like other things it is fine), the issue is that sometimes a persons opinion is based on the wrong information or limited experience and as result they go on to tell people how the feature is bad or broken, this eventually leads to other people saying the feature is bad because of what they have heard rather then what they have understood.
Nevertheless it needs to be noted that suppression is variable not binary, it does not allow you to kill hordes of players by just holding left click, the proof is in the video itself. Though the player gets a number of confirmed kills he is not shooting on his own throughout. His team is supporting him so the bulk of the kills you are seeing are related to both him and his team mates engaging hence why he is getting suppressive assists. The game doesn’t give you the ability to see who is assisting you so bullets from various team members are hitting the same target with the PKP player's bullet striking the death blow.
When he does go down the left side stairs on his own he does indeed get 4 kills but no one is shooting at him and he walks into a grenade, this relates to what I expressed earlier with editing the video to make something appear a certain way.
Ask yourself this:
- Why is this not a seamless clip?
- Why is he missing so many shots?
- Why is this player only shown to be killed twice?
- Why is it that the second scene of him in the locker area features enemies not facing him?
- Why did he go prone and use the bi-pod in that scene?
- Why did his team show up and what effect do you think that would have?
- Why is it when he is on the escalators does the enemy not shoot at his direction?
- Why is it when he goes round to elevators no one is facing him until he’s already hit them and what’s his team mate doing?
- Why is he aiming at the targets?
- Why is no one else doing what he’s doing should be an easy win if everyone plays with a PKP and just holds left click?
- Why are there engineers on the opposite team and what kind of effect will that have on an infantry conquest map?
- What does that say about the enemy team? Are they able or do they understand how to play?
- Why is it at the end of the video he gets killed by someone he’s attempting to suppress to death?
There are reasons for why these things are happening but none of them can be answered by saying that one guy suppressing with a PKP LMG is doing it all on his own. No, what is happening is what can happen in any game which is that having a competent team can mean you don't have to try so hard add to this an incompetent opposition and you have a recipe for click bait.
The 2nd video is showing someone rapid firing what looks like a silenced DMR, it’s possible that there is a bug here but lets ignore that. Silenced weapons have slower bullet velocity and an increased spread cone as such the player is engaging the target in rapid fire incrementing his shot penalties increasing the likelihood of a miss. The visuals were blurred when he got killed not as he was shooting so he wasn’t suppressed.
As expressed you like what you like and you dislike what you dislike but if you already made up your mind about how bad that something is or if you just don’t understand how that something works then a video based around making fun of that something or blaming that something isn’t going to change your opinion; it is not providing you with the right information to make an educated informed choice.
Here is a better video selection to help demonstrate how Battlefield 3 actually plays by someone called Locklear :

Even if you deny what I am saying or lets say that I’m completely wrong and I don’t know anything why is it that the videos I’ve selected show something different? Why are the players in those videos not playing like the person in that satirical video that you submitted or experiencing the issue of the player in the second video that you submitted? Why did Battlefield 3 sell so many copies surely people would be returning it in droves?
These are rhetorical questions, I am not asking you to actually answer them but what I am trying to say is that while it’s okay to dislike something that doesn’t mean its “crap” or RNG luck based.
