What's with Crossplay?
I'm very concerned about a couple of things regarding Crossplay.
Firstly, can only Console players disable it? If so, why? Why do Console players get the choice to not want to play with PC players, but PC players get treated differently and not given the option? PC should have the option to turn it off, and it should be off by default.
Second thing, why is it when I play a server with mostly Console players does the game feel infinitely worse. Why does it feel like even when I'm playing well, Console players feel like they're actually cheating? I'm fully convinced that Dice is intentionally manipulating something with the connection between Console and PC players. Having a server with mostly Console players feels completely different than it does with mostly PC players.
It's clear in so many instances that Dice is catering to Consoles and Controller players yet again in BF6 through many of their design choices. I also don't think anyone over at Dice is a mouse player anymore. For instance, try driving a tank and using the main turret, it's atrocious. Then when using the commo rose it feels like it was optimized for a controller user.
All the assist from 2042 seem to be present in BF6:
- Reduced recoil and spread. Making every weapon more effective at range.
- Snap to target.
- Rotational assist.
- Slow down over target.
If Dice is unwilling to properly balance inputs, then Crossplay needs to F__OFF already. Don't buy this console port until Dice makes an official statement. They clearly don't care about the PC community at this point. There were moments I was really enjoying the Beta, but it was constantly soured by Crossplay. There is no way this game will be playable if Crossplay is enabled at launch.
