Its pretty sad. Take kd out of the game. Wins and losses should be the stat. Sniping is very easy, takes no skill in this game. So easy kills...Padding stats

In BF4 where there was a decent custom server program there were a ton of servers that limited the number of sniper rifles that could be equipped.
Recon doesn't need restricting, just sniper rifles.

Right... the ‘play how I want’ fix. Maybe next we’ll limit medics who barely revive, supports who never drop ammo and tank drivers farming kills instead of pushing objectives. But yeah, recons are the problem.
I play recon a lot and can hit my shots from any range as long as I can see the target. I usually play semi-aggressive I push up, spot enemies and actually cover the team. strikeking023 Sniping’s only ‘easy’ if they’re standing still same as in every shooter. We could argue all day about how each game’s different or how people blame zeroing and rangefinders, but landing shots on moving targets still takes skill. K/D or not, campers gonna camp, but nothing beats doming a guy sprinting for the objective behind your team and knowing you just ruined his day because he thought he was about to sneak up on them.
Win or lose, just enjoy the game. Snipers aren’t the problem it’s the ones whining about them while their only contribution to the team is using up another respawn point.🙄

"play how I want fix"
"Snipers aren’t the problem it’s the ones whining about them"
sound the same to me. One wants snipers..the other not. You just like your own answer more.

Maybe stop crying. So everyone can play support assault or engineering but you have problems with a recon. Jeez dude stop crying and play the game or go somewhere else

66 hours as recon and I'm always holed up right next to an objective so I can try and defend it (yes you can defend objectives too, not just run trying to cap like a lemming),.
If I'm not holed up next to an objective I am protecting a flank and I only use carbine unless I'm playing domination then il take the mp7.
You could limit snipers although this doesn't seem to be an issue in closed weapons.

Removal of the K/D profile stat would probably make the biggest change in terms of team play. I typically go into games with the mindset of grind and win at any cost, and don't sweat dying. But, when I'm getting rolled by a team that simply out-classes mine, "The Number" eventually comes to mind.
It influences my decisions. I might push less, decide not to spawn on my squad if they are in deep or alone. Sometimes, I consider leaving the match entirely and just finding another. I've yet to actually bounce as I hate quitting. I've been on teams where half the team gives up and leaves, making a hopeless situation even more so. It feels bad and I want no part of it.
K/D addicts gonna do as they do, and even not really focusing on it there is a threshold I don't want to see mine dip below. So it changes the game.

Exactly this egoistic nonsense mindset is the reason we need limitations. Your text mentions a lot of "I", "my" and this is a problem.
Battlefield is supposed to be a teamplay game. At least it used to be.
No one wants to take away your toy, its about limitations, not complete removal.
Tanks and vehicles in general are limited in numbers, why not sniper rifles too?
If you think you have to play sniper war along 20 others on the server at the same time, I am sure there are games out there serving your needs. BF isn't it."Protecting your team" is a lousy excuse for this, as you could do this with regular rifles too. The issue is precisely that there are so many people "protecting their team" from behind, that there are too few players actually pushing for targets.
Few people becoming the targets for lots of camping people playing shooting range. This just doesn't work.Go ahead, play some matches of Blackwell or Mirak Valley, in a regular role, with non sniper rifles. You will see the issue quickly.

dark_black696 Nah, not the same. And I don’t like my own “answer” more, I just actually understand it. You’re mixing up two completely different ideas and calling them the same thing. One side wants to limit a class to control how people play because they can’t adapt, the other’s saying to stop blaming a class for the team doing bad and to take responsibility instead. Limiting a class doesn’t fix bad teamwork or poor decisions, it just forces people to play your way “play how I want "fix...🤨 Saying “snipers aren’t the problem” isn’t defending the class, it’s pointing out that blaming them is just bad reasoning. Snipers don’t make you lose, bad positioning, lack of coordination, and players who refuse to adapt do. Class limits won’t fix that, they’ll just hide it and have even more people sitting on the respawn screen trying to be recon because that’s what they want to use, just like they already do with vehicles.
You lose more games to supports who don’t drop ammo, or revive when on top of you, tank drivers camping spawn, or engineers who can’t destroy enemy vehicles or are unable to repair your own because the driver’s driven off mid-repair and explodes a few seconds later, than you ever will from a sniper on a hill. Every class has players who mess up or play different from how you want them to and you can’t force them to play your way. It’s always easier to blame a recon than admit the team can’t coordinate. Real balance comes from teamwork and understanding the game, not restrictions. Battlefield isn’t a competitive game. People play to have fun, relax and do their thing, not to stress over stats or be told how to play. Not everything’s about winning, and the ones who can’t handle that are usually the same ones blaming everyone else who are just trying to enjoy the game. But hey, that’s just my take on it.
