why do people with high ping have great K\D?
As the title says. You would think it would harm them, but the netcode seems to favour high pings... or just my imagination?

It's your imagination.
People with high ping are usually VPN user jumping to EU for some reasons, so basically they are not casuals that's why they have higher K/D.
BUT they are ruining EU games with 150-200ping, just report them.Everybody above 100ms should simply be autokicked, if it's longer than 60 seconds. They should play in their region against ppl from their region or against bots if there are no ppl. I also don't use a VPN to play against them with a ping of 150 in their region it's just a crappy move.

True, a high pinger sees things first and has more reaction time than a low pinger.
A spacetime distortion created by lag compensation makes this possible.
It effectively gimps the low ping players connection in order to let the high pinger have a good time.
