Why does EA Hate Hardcore so much?

I am a long time player of Battlefield, I think my first was the original Bad Company! I have always ALWAYS been an avid Hardcore player. It seems all the latest BF games that come out are really unfriendly to Hardcore players. I have seen no official hardcore servers, trying to find the hardcore game mode is convoluted - it feels as though they are purposely trying to hide it from us as an option?

The same seems to go with the bot games - I absolutely love playing casual breakthrough with my mate, but there doesn't appear to be any option of hosting/joining your own hardcore casual breakthrough and it appears EA just don't want you to play hardcore with bots???

The only hardcore server I've found (with more than 1 player) is a 24/7 golmud conquest server based in the US (a latency nightmare for myself, living in Australia)

I guess I just wanna have a discussion about why the hardcore game mode is so dead in the newer Battlefield games? It's still absolutely thriving on games like COD, for example.
