Why don't air vehicles have any affect on the flow of combat!?

I just watched a video where a very good Attack Helicopter duo proceeded to absolutely wipe the floor with the enemy team dropping a combined 163 kills. You'd expect them to have the enemy team in some kind of spawn trap to be dropping these kinds of numbers and for their team to absolutely dominate the match. Turns out no... not even dropping this amount of kills and controlling the skies means anything in Battlefield 6 as they still lost by 106 tickets. A pretty substantial amount all things considered 

It was an absolutely perfect demonstration as to how utterly flawed air vehicles are in Battlefield 6's sandbox. They quite literally don't even exist in the grand scheme of the things and have zero impact on the outcome of a match even when dropping 163-0. I have never seen a Battlefield game where air vehicles have mattered less than they do in BF6. BF Studies really let us down with the aerial combat; jets and helicopters quite literally just exist to look pretty for the infantry when they explode in this game.
