Why is ADS jumping still around?

Not sure why it’s still being allowed. Makes no sense and is annoying. I can understand some artistic liberties like sliding across asphalt, for the sake of gameplay. But aiming down the sights while jumping adds nothing to the game. It’s just ridiculous.
