Will Battle Pass weapon unlocks be lost to time when the season ends?

This question has been bugging me for days, what happens to unlockable weapons. If you are unable to complete that tire before the season ends?

Let's take the mini sniper as an example, if I'm unable to complete said tier in time. Will the weapon just be lost to time? without any chance of unlocking it afterwards? I don't doubt that I won't unlock said weapon, but I do have a work life balance, with family, kids, friends and other hobbies to attend to. Down the line there will be weapons I won't be able to unlock in time. 

This is kind of a big issue for me and some of my friends who are also have kids. If it is indeed how it works, it's penalising players who don't have to time to grind. Especially when progression is so slow and many of the weeklies are tied to the Battle Royal. Something I have very little interest in playing. 

I hope this isn't the case, but I fear that some of the better weapons that might define the meta. Will be locked behind a battle pass and the unattainable when the season ends.
