Levelling up a gun doesn’t feel very awarding when at level 50 all I get is a camo that doesn’t look very cool and I’m probably not going to use. I would love to see the return of gold camos like they had in BF5 or all silver or all green or all one colour. I feel like unlocking a camo line that at level 50 would feel more awarding.
I've never been a fan of the gold guns, as they're just too garish for me in general. I did think that the black with gold accents that the dev skins in BF2042 have were nice though.
My preferences aside, I do know that a lot of people really liked the gold skins in past games, so I'm sure they'd be well received if they were added.
I agree. In my head I’m just picturing the return of BF5 gold plated camos. Where some of the gun still remained its normal colour and the gold plates also look a bit worn.
grifmyster I agree, that would be a great idea. That said, I don’t think the current camos are that bad either—they’re decent overall.
But yeah, having gold, platinum, or silver camos would definitely make progression feel more rewarding. The only thing is, I think they should stay somewhat realistic. A super shiny gold camo that reflects light and gives away your position from 200 meters wouldn’t really make sense on a battlefield.
However, a more matte, toned-down gold or silver finish could look really good while still fitting the game’s atmosphere.
