“Unable to connect to EA Servers” Error

Question

The above error has persisted since launch day, and I am unable to play the game at all. No fixes worked aside from a VPN, which then gave me unplayable ping. I played the beta completely fine, and EA support has been no help in the matter. Any recommendations on final fix attempts before I refund the game?

Would be nice to at the very least get an acknowledgement of the issue and a "we're working to fix it" from EA / Dice
