Title: Battlefield 6 – Unable to Launch the Game Due to NVIDIA Driver Issues

Hello everyone,

I’m having a problem with Battlefield 6, and I’m looking for help to find a solution.

The game shows an error saying that my NVIDIA driver version is 576.2 and that I need version 581.42 or higher.

My graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070.

I’ve already tried updating the driver through the NVIDIA App and downloading the latest driver directly from the official NVIDIA website. I’ve also tried performing a clean installation, but Windows still seems to detect the old driver version, and I can’t get the issue resolved.

I’ve spent a lot of time trying different solutions, but nothing has worked so far.

Has anyone experienced the same problem or found a working solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You probably need to do a full removal using DDU, if windows keeps detecting an old version:

Download the driver for your GPU WITHOUT installing it:

    https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/details/280103/

Download & install the latest version of DDU and install it https://www.guru3d.com/download/display-driver-uninstaller-download/ or https://www.wagnardsoft.com/display-driver-uninstaller-ddu

Reboot into Safe mode by keeping SHIFT key pressed on your keyboard while clicking on the reboot button on windows, then navigate in this order: Troubleshoot -> Advanced options -> Startup Settings -> Restart. Then press 4 to go into safe mode without internet

Now that you are in Safe mode open DDU, choose GPU in the top right and then the brand of your GPU. Once you are done select "Clean and Restart"

Before the computer restarts disconnect the ethernet cable from your computer, if you are using Wi-Fi, it's best to turn off your router so that the computer doesn't connect to internet at boot. (If it does connect It will install Microsoft's video drivers automatically and you have to start over).

Now that you are in Normal mode without Internet and video drivers you have to go to the previously downloaded .exe drivers and install them, once it finishes reboot the computer and you are good to go.
