So, I actually resolved this issue. The fix is… not great. From what I can tell because the game is so CPU heavy, it seems to not properly prioritize the netcode leading the game to present ping and latency alerts despite having a strong internet connection. My fix was upgrading my machine to a newer CPU. I was on a 6 core Ryzen 5, and moved to a 8 core Ryzen 7. Suddenly the game is fine. Most expensive fix to a game ever.
I think EA needs to review the system requirements for the game and make some changes here. There’s just no way a Ryzen 5 2600 is running this at any livable framerate.
Probably a driver issue that got solved when you changed the CPU, not the CPU change in itself. But at least you have a better PC now ;)
It’s not a driver issue. It’s Time Nudge interpolation caused by a struggling CPU.
