Battlefield 6 Crash on Respawn Screen - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
Hello EA Support Team,
I am experiencing a consistent and specific crash in my copy of Battlefield 6. The game crashes reliably during the respawn screen while playing Breakthrough multiplayer mode.
The specific error message displayed in the popup is:
DirectX function "Hang Detected in waitForFrameFences" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG ("The GPU will not respond to more commands"). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU" Driver: 58157
Path: D:\dev\TnT\Code\Packages\RenderCore2\RenderCore2\dev\source\platform\Dx12\SubmissionManagerDx12.cpp Line: 729
Device Type Specification: Laptop
Operating System Specification: Windows 11, 64-bit (x64-based processor)
Processor (CPU) Specification: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700H (2.30 GHz)
Graphics Card (GPU) Specification: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU
GPU Driver Version Specification: 58157
System RAM Specification: 16.0 GB
Game Installation Drive Specification: SSD (Installed via Steam)
Troubleshooting Steps Already Taken: I suspect this is a stability issue related to the high load of the Breakthrough game mode. I have performed the following steps:
Verified/Repaired game files (via Steam/EA App).
Updated/Cleanly Reinstalled my NVIDIA graphics driver (version 581.57).
Disabled any GPU overclocking or utility software (like MSI Afterburner).
Checked system temperatures (GPU and CPU temps are normal before crash).
Reduced in-game graphics settings (e.g., texture quality, ambient occlusion) to reduce VRAM load.
Please let me know if you require any additional diagnostic files, such as a DxDiag report or crash logs.
Thank you for your assistance.
