Battlefield 6 Crashing During Shader Compilation – RX 9070 XT
Battlefield 6 (Steam) repeatedly crashes during shader compilation, usually between 33% and 55%. Initially, the entire PC froze, requiring a forced restart. Now the game closes directly to the desktop.
System Specifications:
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (16 GB)
- OS: Windows 11 Pro 26H2 (Build 26300.9711)
- AMD Drivers Tested: Adrenalin 26.9.2 and 26.8.1
Troubleshooting Performed:
- Completely removed AMD drivers using DDU in Safe Mode.
- Clean-installed the latest and previous AMD drivers.
- Reinstalled/repaired EA Javelin AntiCheat.
- Disabled EXPO in BIOS.
- Repeatedly tested shader compilation without success.
Windows Errors Identified:
- EAAntiCheatService crashes and timeouts.
- BSOD 0xD1, with eaanticheat.sys implicated in dump analysis.
- GPU timeout 0x116.
- LiveKernelEvents 0x1A8 and 0x1B8.
The issue started on the last day of Season 4 and has continued into Season 5, including after the latest game update.
Despite all troubleshooting, the issue persists.
Is this a known issue affecting AMD RX 9070 XT users? Are the developers aware of it, and is there an official fix, workaround, or upcoming patch planned?
