Casual Missing on Main Account / Present on Alt Account - Account Sync Error

Hi EA Community Managers / Support Team,

I am experiencing a severe UI/playlist discovery bug where the Casual Quads mode tile is completely missing under my Battle Royale / RedSec menu tree.

I am playing the standalone free-to-play version of RedSec on Xbox Series X/S (Region: Eastern NA).

To isolate the issue, I logged into a secondary/alternate Xbox profile on the exact same console hardware. Upon booting, the alternate profile immediately triggered a 2GB data client update and successfully displays the Casual Quads mode as the 4th option under the Battle Royale tab. However, switching back to my primary account (Gamertag: Messinho x) completely hides the mode tile, confirming that my primary profile is stuck on an outdated server configuration profile or bad deployment cache.

Because the assets are clearly downloaded on my hard drive and working on an alt account, this is a server-side account metadata/entitlement sync failure, not a local hardware or regional geofence issue.

To save time, I have already exhaustively completed the following troubleshooting steps, none of which resolved the menu layout for my main account:

- Cleared the Xbox Reserved Space cache and persistent Blu-ray storage.

- Verified that the base game, REDSEC, and REDSEC HD Texture Packs are fully installed and checked under "Manage Game and Add-ons."

- Performed a full hard restart of the console (unplugging the power cord for 2 minutes).

- Toggled Cross-Play ON/OFF to attempt a matchmaking profile flush.

- Completely unlinked and relinked my primary Xbox gamertag (Messinho x) from my master EA account via the account portal to force a fresh backend login token.

The data package is on my console, but EA's master server is serving an outdated menu template to my specific account ID cluster, overriding the local client.

Can a Community Manager please escalate this to the live-service engineering team to trigger a manual database profile re-sync / entitlement refresh on my EA account ID?

Thank you!

Hey! That's actually a pretty interesting issue, especially since you've managed to reproduce it using two different accounts on the exact same console.

I did a little research, and there's something worth mentioning.

EA has previously confirmed that REDSEC playlists can vary depending on regional configurations, and there have been multiple reports of players seeing different Battle Royale modes depending on their region.

However, your situation is particularly interesting because both accounts are running on the same Xbox, with the same installation and internet connection.

That certainly makes an account-specific configuration issue a reasonable possibility, although I wouldn't rule out account settings or playlist eligibility just yet.

Before going any further, I'd suggest trying three things:

    1. Compare the account settings: Check whether both your Xbox profiles and their linked EA accounts have the same country/region and age or family restrictions.
    2. Test your main account on another Xbox: If Casual Quads is still missing, that would provide much stronger evidence that the problem follows your account rather than your console.
    3. Try joining through an invitation: Launch Casual Quads using your alternate account, then invite your main account to the party. See whether your main account can actually enter the playlist or if you receive an error.

That last test could be especially useful because it might help determine whether you're dealing with a missing menu tile or an actual account-level restriction preventing access to the mode.

One more thing: I wouldn't recommend unlinking and relinking your EA account again. EA warns that doing so can potentially affect access to progression and purchased content.

If none of these tests work, I'd recommend attaching screenshots of both accounts showing the different playlists, along with the exact date and time of your tests, to your EA support case.

Your investigation is already pretty thorough, and the fact that the issue can be reproduced on the same hardware with different accounts is definitely worth escalating.

Hopefully an EA Community Manager can investigate why the playlist configuration differs between your two profiles.

Let us know what happens if you try these tests. I'm genuinely curious about the results!

  • Crow, I do appreciate all the feedback and unfortunately I have exhausted every single option and bypass to resolve this from my end that ai and google can suggest. Hence, bringing it here and hoping an engineer on the inside can get my account sorted in a reasonable time frame. It sucks when something is working mostly and then we get a new season and it all goes to **bleep**. The account settings on both accounts should be the same and I don't have another console to test it on. I did try inviting myself to a casual lobby from the alt account but when I switch active profiles and try to accept it, it'll say that I cannot connect. I even tried just simply signing out of the secondary account while in a casual lobby but it immediately dashed my game as it automatically makes the main account the active one. It will say resume on bf6 but acts as though it was quit and so it will run through the typical reconnecting to ea servers thing and bugged out menus. What is also interesting is that I have 2 friends in cali that are maybe hours apart but should essentially be in the same region. one has the same issue as me and the other does not. our menus are just different. the one work around I have is using my alt account to load into casuals, then invite a friend, search a game and get into a loading lobby but then leave before the match starts. it seemed like after that the casual mode showed up for my friend. once he made a lobby I signed out of my alt and rejoined his lobby through my main account. we played a game or two and then he left and I saw that casuals was showing up for me in quickplay as the first option but still nothing in battle royale where it is usually listed 4th. so I was able to play just fine until I went to edit my loadouts and it would not let me back to the Play menu to select a game mode. I was forced to restart the game and back to square one...truly vexing. I am all for playing comp modes but running solo to rank up a gun is easier when I can farm kills/xp in casuals. It's also easier to get games at the odd hours.
