Battlefield 6 shows “PURCHASE TO PLAY” even though I own the game on Steam

Hi,

I’m having an issue with Battlefield 6 on Steam. I purchased the Standard Edition on my current Steam account, and this Steam account is correctly linked to my current EA account.

However, when I launch the game, both Multiplayer and Campaign show “PURCHASE TO PLAY”. If I click on them, Steam opens and asks me to purchase Battlefield 6 again.

I have already reinstalled the game, verified the Steam/EA account link, checked the Steam DLC/additional content section (the Standard Edition is shown there), and restarted both Steam and the game.

One thing may be important: earlier, I accidentally launched Battlefield 6 using another Steam account that does not own the game. That Steam account was linked to a different EA account, and the game automatically showed that old EA account’s email during login. I exited that account and am now using the correct Steam account that owns the game and its corresponding EA account.

Could this have caused an entitlement/license issue? Is there a way to make EA recognize my Steam purchase correctly?
