Battlefield 6 update doesn’t appear to be installing on XBOX Series X

Installed the game from disc and notified there is an update before can start playing.
After that it tells me it cannot retrieve right now and it could be my connection and then it says updating.

while updating it says “updating…” and “finishing things up…” but it is not doing anything and still sitting on 0.0%. 
just to be sure I uninstalled and reinstalled and even unplugged my Xbox with no change. I’ve also let it sit like that for a half hour.
