Battlefield Appeals

So Saturday April 18th,

played two matches of the new operation with my buddy, did really well on both. After completing them and feeling burnt out from the map design we moved to Rush.

The very first match I’m running Assault, VCR and a shotgun. We barge into a house and we’re running and gunning playing off eachother clearing enemy teams easy. All of a sudden boom im temp banned for 3 Days.

I’ve played battlefield for quite a long time, originally on Xbox now I have a PC. It said the violation was Game Enhancements, I.E. something with making a weapon too good I think is how they described or something idk, I’ve never done any form of cheating, manipulation or whatever you want to call it. Now the Appeal sits with EA support teams.

I feel like I was playing really good, I got a single report which I don’t think I’ve ever been reported before at all so I’m assuming this is my first one, and I got banned.

Really I’m just hoping EA, Dice or whoever looks at this has a better system than yeah one guy played pretty good and one person or all that guys buddies reported him cause they died to him so let’s ban him.

Idk maybe I’m asking for too much.

No idea,  I literally have only discord running in the backround so I couldn't even guess unless it was discord. The recent massive computer freeze up that were happening to people including my friend were being caused by the anti cheat. I'm assuming something is seriously wrong with the anti cheat rn.  It is very frustrating to go through this if you're innocent :(

DaddyXplode , do you know exactly why? I’ve read cases of reversed suspensions/bans where people got suspended/banned again because the detection system triggered for same plausible reason. I’d be careful of I were you to start playing again without figuring out what could have caused your first situation.

I have not heard back now after ~20 hours.

  • Mine was reversed about 3 hours after the ban, its absolutely ridiculous that this is happening to innocent people.

  • I've been banned since October of last year for "Gameplay Enhancements" as well except I received a perm ban. I've been a BF player since Bad Company 2 and have had an active EA account since 2009. No warnings or any other issues in all those years. Never once cheated.

The problem with my ban is is I was never given any details as to what they considered having Gameplay Enhancements in my case. I can only assume their Anti-cheat detected ReWASD running on my PC because it starts on launch but I wasn't even using it to play BF6. I only use it to rebind older games with hard coded keybinds.

Since then I've been beating my head against their appeal system that doesn't seem to do anything except auto deny players. Not once have I talked to a single member of the Terms and Services team to dispute my case.

And what's worse is that if you talk to any other person in their help chat they'll eventually lead you to the Web Form system to submit an appeal which should give you a choice to contact the Terms and Services team directly, but it dead ends. It's like the T&S team have effectively cut themselves off from any direct communication to any customers.

Now I'm stuck because I reached my appeal limit a month ago and my case has been completely closed out and I have no way to resubmit an appeal to that issue.

  • In the same boat, I got banned for 6 days for gameplay enchantment. Been playing bf since 1942 demo, never cheated.

  • Same thing happened to me today. I strictly play Breakthrough, and I only snipe. I get ungodly KDs more often than not because of this, today I was met with a 6 day suspension for "Gameplay Enhancements". Apparently running a mini scout with a 6x thermal, suppressor, range finder, and a grip is too OP for BF6. Why the **bleep** do you put these things in the game if you're going to ban someone for being good with them? Played BF since 2016 and have never had this problem before.

  • The exact thing happened to me yesterday. I got a 9 day suspension. I tried to play today and it said I got suspended for "game enhancements." I have never cheated or hacked before, so I think it's ridiculous to get banned for absolutely nothing.. I hope that the appeal gets approved quickly.

Hello guys, i just wanted to add that i ve also recieved 3 days ban after playing normal Breakthrugh while using sniper. I ve played this franchise for years and years and i have over 1000 hrs playing and never EVER been banned before. I ve been using only Riva Tuner and MSI Afterburner for years also and never had problems. After i ve recieved 3 days ban i ve also recieved 4 more similar follow-up emails and total of 15 days of ban! This is getting out of hand, i ve also apealed to ban and for goodsake they better answer and explain this....

  • Interesting, I just received a similar suspension for Game Enhancement. Initial suspension was 3 days, then I received 2 similar follow-up emails and have a total of 9 days suspension. I play via Nvidia Geforce Now with a macOS client and Xbox Elite Series 2, so there is no way to modify game locally. The only thing I could think of is input, latency or packet drops that flags my cloud gaming setup as a false positive. I apealed my suspension, so waiting for what comes out.

I commented on another posts similar to this a bit ago.  It's very strange that a person could be using "gameplay enhancements" but they are also somehow not cheating, which would get you a perm ban.

My advice to the other person with this issue is to ensure you don't have some odd input modifying application running with BF6.  Even if you think it's benign, Javelin might still ID it as an issue.  Same with any sort of application or program that can be viewed as an injector.  Even if it isn't interfering with BF6, the anti-cheat will still trigger off the application existing.

There's always the obvious answer as well, which is that you know exactly why you got a suspension and you're just here playing games to "get back" at the system.  Not like I have any clue personally if that's true though.

Appeals is likely going to return with "Deal with it".  I assume they overturn suspensions once in a while but I've never seen it myself.
