Battlefield performance

I logged into my friend's steam account to test if BF6 will run on my pc and if its safe to buy it and not waste money, it ran very nice wit fps ranging between 70-90fps. So I decided to buy and download the game on my steam account and got very poor performance, ranging between 52-61 fps. I ensured all graphic settings were the same on both accounts.

How can different steam accounts on same pc and graphic settings have such a significant fps difference? Can someone help me fix it?

Thank you

Never knew this was a thing but apparently:

Javelin assigns each account a hardware + behavior trust score during initial validation:

    • Friend's account: Likely has established trust from:
      • Prior Battlefield playtime (cross-game data sharing)
      • Verified hardware fingerprint from other EA titles
      • Lower risk profile (no VPN history, consistent login locations)
      • Result: Relaxed CPU/GPU monitoring, fewer background scans
    • Your new account: Fresh accounts get:
      • Conservative performance limits (CPU core throttling, reduced GPU boost clocks)
      • Frequent integrity checks (memory scanning every 30-60 seconds)
      • Stricter driver validation causing frame time spikes
      • Higher false-positive cheating detection thresholds

"This is intentional design—Javelin prioritizes cheat prevention over immediate performance for new accounts, especially during launch when cheat developers are most active. Your friend's account benefited from pre-existing trust, while yours faces the full validation gauntlet. The FPS gap should close within 5-10 hours of consistent play as Javelin confirms your account + hardware combo as legitimate."

Thanks for the reply, but the thing is my account isn't that new, I've played all previous battlefields on my account and have 150+ hours on all of them?

All I can think of is that because they've moved from EAC/Punkbuster etc in previous titles to Javelin in this one, it's somehow viewing you as a newish player. Not overly familiar with the specifics, I'm just reading from sources online. You can always try the below:

    1. Close game completely 2. Delete: `%LOCALAPPDATA%\Javelin\BF6\` 3. Run as Administrator: Battlefield6.exe 4. Play 2-3 matches without alt-tabbing or overlays 5. Javelin rebuilds trust score over ~2 hours of playtime
