BF 6 crashing fixed (RTX4080)

Battlefield 6 – Fix for random crashes, reboots, and "Secure Boot not enabled" error (RTX 4080 / ASUS Z790 example)

After 10 hours  of testing and lots of troubleshooting, I finally fixed all the crash/reboot issues with Battlefield 6.
Here’s the full solution path that worked — hope it helps others with similar setups.

System setup
CPU: Intel (Z790 chipset)
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080
Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z790-P
OS: Windows 11 (UEFI mode)
BIOS (before): 0812 → updated to 1820

 Step-by-step solution
Update BIOS to the newest version
→ In my case: ASUS Prime Z790-P BIOS 1820 (from Feb 2023 → Nov 2024)
This fixed DDR5 stability and GPU power-spike handling.
Update Intel ME (Management Engine) firmware
Download “Intel ME Update Tool” from ASUS support page
Before running it, install the Intel MEI driver (v2428.6.2.0)
Then run MEUpdateTool.exe as Administrator
Reboot after update
Enable Secure Boot properly
In BIOS:
CSM = Disabled
OS Type = Windows UEFI Mode
Secure Boot Mode = Standard

This removed the “SecureBoot is not enabled” message from the new Javelin anti-cheat.
Clean install NVIDIA driver (DDU)
Install latest Game Ready 560.70+ without GeForce Experience

Result

After these updates, Battlefield 6 has been completely stable —
three full matches, no BSODs, no reboots, and no anti-cheat errors.
Everything runs smooth and quiet.

Intel MEI driver + ME firmware update
CSM off / Secure Boot on / UEFI mode
Clean NVIDIA driver
Disable DLSS/Reflex for testing
