BF6 Crashes Nearly Every Game

Installed game yesterday, 12/25/25. AMD Adrenalin is up to date along with Windows 11. BIOS is up to date along with chipset. Profile for RAM is enabled.

After about 10-15 minutes of game play, the game will crash.

No issues in Injustice, Injustice 2, PUBG, Minecraft, skate, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, etc. Issue isolated to BF6.

Using Steam to launch game.

Power management set to performance.

In game fps cap set to 120 at 1440p.

Issue ongoing over 24 hours and including a hard reboot.

Seeking troubleshooting guidance. Thanks in advance!

you answered your own question....none of your other games crash....problem with EA and BF6...see other threads that are ongoing with no real solutions

  • Yep.. this has been on going since launch (apparently since beta for some people) and still hasn't been addressed.  I had maybe one or two crashes at launch like this... but after Eastwood they started happening regularly.  After the Winter update it increased tenfold.  It makes the game unplayable and DICE is clearly fine with not addressing it even though there are thousands and thousands of complaints.

I have zero issues with any other games crashing like this, including new games.  It's only BF6.

This sounds like CPU instability, not a GPU/DirectX problem.

Battlefield 6 can hit the CPU with sudden power spikes, and some BIOS settings let the chip pull more watts than it can handle consistently. That can lead to random crashes, DirectX errors, or other instability. I had the same issue — the game became unplayable. Early on it crashed only occasionally, but over the last month it was crashing every 5–10 minutes.

I tried everything: reinstalling the game, DDU + clean GPU driver installs, BIOS updates, Windows tweaks, etc. Nothing fixed it. What finally worked was setting a CPU power (wattage) limit in the BIOS. Since doing that: zero crashes.

For me, BF6 was the only game crashing. My CPU is an Intel i9-13900K.
