BF6 crashing after 30s of getting on the game
Hello everyone.
I am having this irritating issue with BF6 since the latest Jan. 20th update, in the sense that the game outright crashes 30s after entering it. When the main menu appears, literally 30s after, the game crashes.
There are no visible errors but after searching in the crashdump files, of which there are 5, all dated Dec. 2025. No crashdumps are dated 2026.
I tried the following potential solutions
- verifying game files (which did not work)
- uninstalling then reinstalling Javelin Anti-Cheat (thought it could be the culprit because since it is a kernel-level anticheat, I had yesterday three back-to-back BSODs for "kernel security", after which I did sfc /scannow using my cmd tool with admin rights)
- uninstalling then reinstalling BF6 (which did not work).
- reinstalling my Nvidia video drivers.
- disabled all af the overlays (didn't work)
- tried launching the game through the Nvidia launcher (didn't work either).
None of them worked.
If this information could be relevant, here are my specs.
- Intel Core i5-12450H
- 16 Gb DDR5 RAM
- Nvidia RTX 4060
After posting a topic on Reddit, I learned of the existence of windbg to open the crashdump files.
After typing in the !analyze -v command, I have the results found in files 1 through 6.
I am currently at a loss for a viable solution. This issue is major and requires to be fixed ASAP.
For a game I bought (alright, at a discounted price) for 55€ instead of the nominal 70€, I think this game has to function properly. Considering the price tag.
I am happy to play a new BF game, but it's disheartening to see one of my favourite games not working for no apparent reason.
