Hello,
My build is a 9800X3D, RTX 5090, 64GB DDR5 6000MHz (EXPO is on in the bios) and I have everything else on default (no overclocking or anything)
Since launch, my game has been crashing every time I play a match (10-20 mins into every match) with no error codes ever showing up. Literally just "BOOM welcome back to your desktop". My PC restarted once on it's own during a match out of the tens of crashes I've had, so mostly I crash to the desktop with no error given.
I've tried a lot of things already:
- BIOS update
- Tried on multiple Nvidea drivers
- Tried on all updated versions of the game so far
- Tried running the game on both borderless and Fullscreen
- Tried lowering/ shutting off graphics settings (DLSS, Frame gen, lower presets, etc.)
- Multiple windows settings adjusted based on researched feedback from others
- Adjusted BF6 and EA Anti Cheat windows settings to avoid potential conflicts
- Repaired the game filed multiple times
- Deleted the campaign and Campaign HD packs
- Disabled EA App Overlay
- Adjusted Nvidea shader cache to 100GB
- Changed my Virtual Memory file size from default to custom, making the initial and maximum sizes much larger (calculated based on my system ram. Initial 1024x64x1.5 and max 1024x64x3 based on some research)
Things I've noticed:
- The CPU and GPU temps are NOT spiking and are always within normal range before, during and after these crashes
- The crashes ALWAYS happen 10 to 20 mins into a match without any warning (immediate crash, application closes and I see my windows background.
- I'm NEVER shown any error codes during any of these crashes
- I'm 99% sure it's not my hardware since my PC is brand new and only BF6 out of all other games I've played with this rig crashes like this. I played other demanding games for hours without any issues on the highest graphics presets/ settings
My suspicion is the following:
- EA Anti Cheat program may be having some conflicts with windows and suddenly kicks me out and causes the crash.
- Windows thinks that my GPU suddenly died mid game and therefore kicking me out
- Game has a VRAM leak and is causing my system to think that the GPU is overloaded somehow due to all the VRAM held by the game and not released properly like it's supposed to, causing a shutdown/ crash (Leaning towards this one tbh)
Any ideas?
