OK so this has happened to me at least 7 times today within the last 3 hrs. Its really **bleep** annoying. I keep thinking its the PC or the PSU - but its NOT as its only BF6 that causes this issue.
Anyway went for a google search. Lots of useless AI solutions but found this.. It may be coincidence - but I haven't crashed after setting this setting on Windows.
It would be cool - if somebody else with the issue could try it. Maybe I just got lucky so far. lol. My PC is not overclocked. I did the Option No. 3 - which I have NOT seen before.
Google Search: Any known fixes for the issue of battlefield 6 causing the PC to power reset.
When Battlefield 6 causes a hard PC reboot, it is usually triggered by GPU power spikes tripping your PSU’s safety features, memory/CPU instability, or the EA AntiCheat conflicting with Windows services.
Try these highly recommended troubleshooting steps to resolve the restarts:
1. Update your Motherboard BIOS
Why: BF6 is heavily demanding on the CPU and memory. Motherboards with older firmware can suffer from power state locks or stability issues that cause instant reboots.
Fix: Go to your specific motherboard manufacturer's website (e.g., ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte), find your exact model, and flash to the latest BIOS version.
2. Disable or Adjust Memory Overclocking (XMP/DOCP/EXPO)
Why: Subpar or aggressive RAM timings can cause instant system shut-offs long before a game throws a standard error code.
Fix: Enter your BIOS and disable your XMP/EXPO profile temporarily to run at stock base speeds. If you have fast memory (e.g., 7200MHz), manually lower the frequency to 6000MHz and see if it stabilizes.
3. Change Exploit Protection for EA Anticheat <<<<<<<<<<<<<THIS IS THE ONE I DID >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Why: Windows built-in anti-exploit features can occasionally conflict with the EA Anticheat service, locking the system and forcing a reboot.
Fix:Press the Windows key, type Exploit protection, and open it.Go to the Program settings tab and click Add program to customize.Locate the exact path of the anticheat (usually C:\Program Files\EA\AC\eaanticheat.gameservice.exe).Scroll down to Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR), check Override system settings, and toggle it to OFF. Reboot.
4. Cap your FPS and Lower Overclocks
Why: Modern GPUs are capable of sudden, massive power transients that can exceed your Power Supply Unit (PSU) capacity, triggering an automatic hard reset.
Fix: Lower your GPU's power limit slightly (e.g., to 90%) using software like MSI Afterburner, and cap your maximum in-game frame rate to match your monitor's refresh rate.
5. Force DirectX 11 Mode
Why: BF6’s DX12 implementation is highly demanding and can cause kernel-level crashes on certain CPU/driver combinations.
Fix: In the EA App or Steam client, navigate to the game’s properties or launch options and add the command line -dx11.For step-by-step guidance on updating your BIOS and adjusting memory to stop abrupt PC reboots:
I hope this helps others as I haven't crashed again as of yet.....
Kind Regards,

(03.06.2026) OK ignore that -- its still happening. Not as much but I think its coincidence/random... powered off twice this morning withing 10 minutes of restarting the PC. Wasnt even in a game - just the menu's about to start a game)
**bleep**.. I have had 7 random reboots within the last 1 hr of trying to play this **bleep** game!
