Black screening

Hey I play on a pc and every time I go to choose a mode (duos, squad) I can click on it and as soon as it’s about to load into the match my screen goes black and then my monitor says no display so turns off so making me have to forcefully turn my pc off and then back on as I’ve tried resetting the gpu and doesn’t do anything I’ve turned my graphics and settings down to see if that would help and still getting the same result, I’ve even tried uninstalling and reinstalling on steam an ea app but still having troubles

  • XxStiLLaGuNZxX pressing (ctrl + alt + del) doesn't bring up task manager?

I'm trying to figure out if Windows is crashing or if BF6 is selecting a resolution/refresh rate the monitor doesn't support.

Try playing some music in the background while launching BF6. If the music keep playing after the screen turns off that means Windows isn't crashing.

If I don't reply to your post then personal message me. Sometimes the forum fails to notify me when someone replies.

XxStiLLaGuNZxX try running BF6 in windowed mode instead of full screen mode. The windowed mode setting is in BF6 graphics settings menu.

  • No worries I’ll give that one a go thanks mate hopefully can get it going as I’ve played other games an the temp the gpu gets to is the same on other but they don’t black screen seems to be only bf6

Another thing to consider is if your running to DisplayPort from a USB-C.  I bought a cable from BreastBye and that's the problem I ran in to.  Hooked up an HDMI (both ends) and have not had any black screen issues since.  The previous cable kept giving me the black screen and it ending up saying that there was no connection.

Just a thought because I know how frustrating it is trying to figure out what is going on.

I am using a display port to display port and yeah it has been a roller coaster on figuring out what is going on as it’s the only game that does the black screen witch is really confusing haha

  • So I’ve taken my side panel off and it’s seems to be okay without the side panel on but i sorta don’t wanna be leaving the side panel off at all

Try lowering power to your graphics card with MSI Afterburner. My previous pc would only NOT have issues if I dropped it down to 95%. At 100%, I always seemed to have some kind of issue…and it didn’t matter what else I had done (ie; fresh install of both windows and nvidia, lowering graphics settings, etc). The only thing that worked was making it run at 95%.
