It's broken at the moment.
I know this for a fact because I logged on yesterday morning, around this time, actually it was an hour earlier, 5:30AM on a Sunday Morning in Central United States, I was met with a server queue, placed in the 5000 wait list, which was a shock. When I got in minutes later, all the matches were 90% bots.
During peak play times on Xbox with cross play off, I am lucky to get one match per day that isn't filled with at least 50% bots.
It ruins the experience, My greatest moments fall flat when they're against the EA bot farm.
I feel like there are to many strings being pulled in different directions to control how we enjoy the game, and it's is making it a miserable experience, or at the very least taking away from any joy.
Problem 1. The assignments required to progress are too exhausting without bots
Problem 2. They won't let us progress on our own bot servers.
Solution. replace most players with bots on public servers so players have a path to progression, and selling them xp boosters to make up for the frustrations.

I get this. The problem I have is that they are working on current challenges to make progress easier so that eliminates that...
What I don't get though, is the prioritizing of "starting games" instead of matching actual players. It's silly to pay 70 bucks for a game just to play against AI... :(
