Campaign Challenges not tracking

So last night played through a bunch of the campaign.  Decided to try for the challenge of not using a gun and only grenades, gadgets, and knife.  Did the entire board in Cairo and it didn't track it. 

What is the point of doing these hard challenges if it won't track.
