Don't worry mate you are not alone I'm feeling the same pain with no resolution in sight and not even the courtesy of some lube from dice/ea regarding a timeline or explaination.
I have an i9 and the whole disabling ecores as a potential solution is patent nonsense (and it doesn't work anyway).
