CPU/SIM Perf Spikes

I had no problems during the beta or the first week of playing BF6, but then starting around October 16th, I started encountering issues where CPU/SIM drops to less than 10 fps/ms causing the gameplay to almost stop entirely. Issue happens even after I can quit the game and get to the main game menu.

I don't have the craziest of rigs, but was more than sufficient previously running on High graphics settings the first week or so. Now I cannot even make it 5 minutes into a match.

CPU: 13th Gen Intel i7-13620H
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop w/ 581.57 Game Ready Driver
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 1TB Western Digital NVMe

I have tried the following:
   - Settings graphics to Low and numerous other settings such as DLSS, TAA, VSync, etc.
   - Downgrading drivers several times, going back to even 577
   - Configuring the user.cfg file to define my processors

I also do not see any issues with performance when I open perf monitor or performance tab. My memory itself is running a bit on the constrained side (90%) but was never a factor previously.

Anyone else been able to get around this? Sucks as I have not been able to play the game for over a week at this point.

  • I may just be hitting the same issue as everyone else. I appear to be connecting to Santiago datacenter when playing matches, even though I am located in north central United States.
