Crashes entire PC after 1-3 games, force restart needed
Been having an issue since release of the game crashing my entire PC and me needing to hold the power button to fix it again. When playing, sometimes my character model disappears but my gun remains, or my gun model disappears and character model is fine, or I lose game audio. Usually when that happen I have 5-10 more min before it crashes to desktop. When I try to click on anything else on my PC then it freeze all programs and no CTRL+ALT+DEL or function key does anything.
I have discord open on the side, no overlay on the game, and that audio would go out sometime 5-10min before a crash and it will never come back until a restart.
The longest I went without an issue was when I flashed my BIOS to the newest beta version for Gigabyte Aorus Master X570 mobo (F39j). But then the issue came back after about 2-3hrs of game time.
Things I have tried to do:
- Flash BIOS as mentioned above (worked the longest before the next crash)
- Adjusted virtual memory by going into Windows setting as follows: advanced system settings > performance settings > advanced > virtual memory > change and setting both the initial size and the maximum size to 30000
- All game settings set to LOW with "screen space AO & GI" turned off
- Unplugged PC overnight
- Re seated and thermal pasted CPU+cooler and deep cleaned entire PC in case of thermal issue (no monitor app said I was close to high temp levels)
- Re-installed NVIDIA graphics driver (581.42)
- Updated chip set drivers for AMD CPU
- All latest windows 11 updates installed
- Ran game as admin (this crashed it the quickest)
- Since launching the game from Steam, tried to Verify Integrity of Game Files multiple times
I'm running out of ideas and forms to help. In the past day, I have had to pull the plug on my PC 10+ times over a few hours of gaming.
