Unfortunately, I’m the latest victim. I’ve been having problems since July 27th, and now I’m completely unable to play the game normally.
I now believe that this is a "perfect storm" between faster INTEL 14xx CPUs, buggy EA Anti-cheat and draconian Windows 11 security features. Running on my W10 partition gives far fewer BSODs, perhaps 1 in 10 matches, as well as one CTD in those 10, if I use XTU do downclock the CPU while playing BF6. After the following actions, I went from 1 BSOD per 1 game to 0 BSODs and maybe 1 CTD per 20 matches in W11, and never under W10.
- I have disabled almost all W11 security features except AV, especially CORE stuff and PROTECTED folders etc.
- I made exclusions for the EA-AC and the BF6 exe to negate ALL security features for those applications.
- I downclocked my CPUs cores from 57 to 50 in BIOS.
Using the XTU works also, but that still gave me BSODs now and then, even when computer was idle, with a BIOS warning after reboot. So I believe this BIOS change made my system more stable overall, especially under W11. That's my theory of the blame-game between Intel 14xx + EA-AC + W11, and why none of them recognizes this or takes responsibility for it.
