DICE! PLEASE READ!!! Steam Input Gyro Function is BROKEN in Battlefield 6.
Dear DICE,
Im hoping by writing this I may offer some help with the implementation of gyro aiming in Battlefield 6, as this is currently a major issue for thousands of players like myself.
I play all my FPS games on PC with a Dualshock 4 or Dualsense PS5 controller using 'Mouse like' gyro aiming combined with 'Joystick Mouse' on the right analog stick through Steam input, as this offers by far the most accurate level of precision for aiming.
By doing this, it removes the ability to use gradual 'analog movement' on the left stick, instead replacing all other functions on the controller with the PC keyboard & mouse bindings e.g. W,S,A,D, etc.
This has become an acceptable compromise for many players who use gyro aimng to allow for the increase in accuracy provided by gyroscopic aming.
This method works with every other game I play and worked perfectly in the Battlefield 6 BETA.
Now however, it seems that whatever has been done to support native gyro aiming in Battlefield 6 has completely broken support for gyro aiming on controllers through Steam input.
It seems that there has been an oversight where the game is still recognising the controller as a Dualsense PS5 controller and not switching over to keyboard and mouse input instead. As simultaneous is not currently supported in Battlefield 6,
The ideal situation, is for developers to support simultaneous input. A good example of a game that does support simultaneous input, is the game 'PREY' (2017)
If simultaneous input is not possible to implement due to possible conflcits with auto aimng whilst using a controller, please at a minimum, make it so gyro aiming through Steam input is fully supported. Without it, for me and many others, the game is currently completely unplayable.
Many Thanks
