I left a message a couple of weeks ago here, to those wondering, I have not crashed once. I realized that playing with borderless window and using alt-tab is what makes the engine call for FSR and crash the game. By using Fullscreen mode and never alt-tabbing, I don't get crashes ever.
who plays with borderless window? who is using alt-tab mid game?
I play borderless, I have 4 screens and I am not alone as there are many many users with more than one screen.
vast majority of people who are not on 10yo+ OS revisions, borderless is better than exclusive fullscreen because it fully supports MPO and as such plays far nicer with adaptive sync
So you talking about the 5 Guys who are playing on Linux? While using more than 1 Monitor Ok. And its better while using Alt Tab (for whatever reason). The rest is Voodoo. The performance is not better because what ever runs in the background will be rendered aswell ( there are titles where it is less worse but thats because of awfull coding). The point is most people on windows play on fullscreen. And thats the standard setting in bf6
You claim "most people on windows play on fullscreen" and don't Alt-Tab to other apps while BF6 is running. Can you back up that claim with some kind of proof or is that just what you think? If it is just what you think, then what leads you to believe this claim is accurate?
Personally, I believe the majority of users nowadays run borderless as they have more than 1 monitor. My reasons for this belief is that every gaming PC I see sold on FB marketplace. every PC I see in peoples profiles or on forums, or friends setups are all at least dual monitor.
Not sure what Linux has to do with this as BF6 is not playable under Linux or Steam Deck as Javelin does not run on Linux.
