EA - make good on your XP boost promise
I'm hopeful this will actually reach an audience and/or someone in a influential position for this game. Simple put - EA promised to give XP boost to players that were impacted by the EA app launch issues and it has not happened.
For whatever reason, there is a criteria being applied in providing the boosts that is restricting those who get it. It's clear the criteria for this has either been mismanaged or is maliciously implemented to severely impede the amount of players that would be eligible for it. It would appear that anyone who attempted to use the training, got in a bot game, or was able to bypass the broken interface is being excluded. However there are players who refunded the game bought it Steam to immediately start playing who have now received the XP boost - which shows how flawed EA's implementation of this is.
For many of us, we messed around with whatever we could get to work while waiting for the full game to be fixed. But the simple fact is everyone who bought the game on the EA app was impacted, some were able to get limited functionality but there was impact nonetheless. EA's announcement stated nothing about partial impact, it was a clear statement to correct how messed up the launch was on the EA app.
For me, this account has been with EA since 2009. I stopped supporting EA after 2042 playing that game during launch. I swore off the buying another EA games and have avoided it ever since. Following the beta, I was believer again and even did something I never thought I would consider doing - pre-ordered. Imagine my frustration when I went to login and couldn't use the game during the launch. Further this with EA's abysmal ticket handling process. I've had a ticket open since this occurred and been contacted by 7 different advisors - all of which made no attempts to read the ticket history. I've had everything from being sent troubleshooting links (WTF?), informed that EA was working on this, validated I was eligible for the boosts, and even told that the boosts are in my inbox. All of which has been wrong.
If EA is really thinking about this game being a long term investment in the player base, then consider the credibility in making good on promises. This is make or break for me - I won't be a future season pass player with EA falling short on simple promises like this.
