EA Deleted Battlefield 6 from my account library and refused refund

I purchased, downloaded and installed Battlefield 6. After their launch issues with the EA app, I attempted to reinstall the game 3 times. Every time I launched the game, it said I needed to purchase the content in order to play. This was an issue EA was well aware of as their team mentioned on X ([BFComms] Installation of Battlefield 6 Content Pack issue - Update 2 | EA Forums - 12736812) . Since I was not able to play the game, I uninstalled and requested a refund so I could hopefully purchase the game on Steam. When requesting a refund, the game was automatically removed from my library by EA software. EA has since denied my refund request but did not re-instate the game to my library. When I tried to submit a dispute through their website over them charging me and them deleting the game from my library, the site would not allow me to submit. There is no method to contact EA other than through their website. I have since cancelled my EA pass subscription, uninstalled the EA app from my computer, and will no longer directly do business with EA. The charges still reflect in my bank statement from July 31 when I pre-ordered the game. Posting this here hoping that if anyone else has the same issue, they will speak up.

  • If you paid with a credit card contact your issuing bank and raise a claim. Your bank are required in this case to investigate that your claim is valid and most likely refund the amount and cancel the transaction as long as you can provide documentation that you 1. haven't gotten the product from the merchant and 2. you have been denied a refund by the merchant for the missing product. If you used Paypal you should make the claim with Paypal first.

I currently have the same issue and I don't want to buy the game on steam until I get the game back or get my money back.

I explained my scenario to some of my gamer friends who said they refuse to use the EA app for this exact reason. Wish I knew beforehand that EA costumer service is non-existent. EA replied to my original case saying they were unable to issue a refund and then continued to close my case without an explanation of why they couldn't process the refund, or how to contact anyone further about the issue. I will never use the EA App or pay EA directly ever again. Using much more experienced and reliable systems such as Steam is probably the best option for anyone considering purchasing any game produced by EA.

Very true. Only use ea app if subscribing to ea play pro. Else just use steam.
