EA Javelin Anticheat error code (7) (1053) Strange issue...

Been having some really random issues with BF6 lately and have been getting the EA Javelin Anticheat error code (7) (1053)

I check services and see on boot or reboot it sets itself to disabled, if i set it to manual I can get the game to work but every reboot etc its back to disabled, wont work, get the error and have to repair or reinstall Javelin

Have reset windows, installed the game on another drive, tried a different user account, set the services manually to manual but nothing it changes it back itself each and ever time?

is there a fix for this? PC DxDiag attached for any EA techs

    Hey ACrazyBadger ,

Sorry to hear that you’re hitting this. The key detail here is that the EA Javelin AntiCheat service keeps flipping itself back to “Disabled” after every reboot.

    1. A few high-impact things to try:

    2. Clean Boot test

    • If the service stays enabled under a clean boot, then some background app is forcing it back to Disabled.
    • If you find the culprit, remove it or add proper exclusions for BF6/EA/Javelin.

    3. Check security/AV/“tuning” tools

    • If you have anything like system “debloat/optimizer” utilities, custom security policies, or third-party AV, try disabling/uninstalling it temporarily and see if the service still gets disabled on reboot.

    Hope this helps.

  • I'm also having this issue, and I've tried everything I can, including resetting the Secure Boot keys, but nothing worked. The only way I managed to open the game was by unplugging the PC from the Ethernet cable. However, when I plug it back in, it says "Javelin isnt updated."

I eventually got it working but have installed it on another drive, I went through the following and it seemed to fix it

Phase 1: Standard Uninstallation (Steam & EA)

    Uninstall via Steam:

Open Steam and go to your Library.

    Right-click Battlefield 6.

    Select Manage > Uninstall.

    Uninstall via EA App:

    Open the EA App.

    Go to My Collection.

Click the options icon (...) on Battlefield 6 and select Uninstall.

    Phase 2:Manual Cleanup (Leftover Files)

Even after uninstalling, configuration files and game folders often remain.

    Delete Game Installation Folder:

Check C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 6 (or your custom library location) and delete the folder if it remains.

    Delete User Settings/Cache:

Navigate to your Documents folder: Documents\Battlefield 6.

Delete the entire Battlefield 6 folder to remove configuration and cache data.

    Remove Local AppData:

Press Windows Key + R and type %localappdata%.
