Freeze during match, then a complete disconnect of GPU and computer crash

Just started playing Season 4 after not playing for about 6 months, had no issues in the first few games, but now, in every match during play, my game freezes. There is no crash/error message, it's a complete freeze of my entire computer. If I wait it out, it disconnects both of my monitors (so I'm guessing it crashes my GPU completely) and constantly and quickly power cycles indefinitely until I manually shut down my computer via the power button.

Here are my system specs:

Asrock X670E Steel Legend

Asrock AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

2 x 32GB DDR5 6000MHz G.Skill RAM

2TB NVME SSD

850 Watt Corsair PSU

I've updated my drivers to most recent, and rolled them back as well. Created a user.cfg file in BF6 files to limit processor usage. I've disabled all apps besides BF6 and Steam so there would be no conflict with the anticheat. I've tried playing on only old maps. I've updated my BIOS and Windows completely. Underclocked my GPU and disabled EXPO for my RAM to avoid any potential power spikes. Lowered graphics in game to where nothing was enabled. Turned off any extra settings/overlays/changes in my AMD Adrenalin app. I've verified game files on Steam and disabled Steam overlay. I've tried to find any and all recent posts about potential crashes for BF6 and tried nearly every possible solution mentioned in them.

There are no crash logs or error codes as my entire PC crashes and is unrecoverable.

This problem has only ever happened in-match during actual gameplay, never in main menus or in-match menus.

I finally come back to play after being away for so long because the new update looked cool, and I can't even get through 5-10 minutes of a  match without complete unrecoverable freezes. I'd like to get it fixed and keep playing, but it's likely if there isn't an easy fix, I'll never play again, as I don't have hours and hours to implement potential fixes that never work, and the frustration is just not worth it.

  • Welcome back to the Battlefield!

Sorry to hear you’re running into freezing issues on PC. Please try the following steps and see if they help:

    1. Make sure Windows is fully up to date, including all security updates.

    2. Repair Windows system files. Open Command Prompt as administrator and run these commands one at a time:

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    sfc /scannow

Once both scans have finished, restart your PC.

    3. Use AMD Cleanup Utility. Then install the latest Recommended Radeon driver for your GPU.

    4. Update your AMD chipset drivers.

If the issue continues after trying these steps, please grab and attach your DxDiag report. Thanks.
