GPU doesnt use full power ingame

My GPU uses the full 230 watts in the menu, but as soon as I’m in-game it drops to between 100 and 150 watts. What could be causing this? I’ve noticed a significant drop in FPS since the latest BF6 update and the newest AMD driver.

Yeah, I’m seeing drops in FPS compared to before the update. It’s still definitely playable, I just find it really strange. The GPU fans now keep turning on and off because the temps aren’t high enough. I could try reinstalling the drivers, of course. The weird thing is that it only happens with BF6 and not with other games.

It could be a few different things.  First thing that comes to mind is driver related issue.  The next thing is what settings you're running the game at.  I have an rx 6600xt and when I am in the loadout menu with the 4 player classes showing my gpu is at 97% but when I enter a match it's around 60-70% usage.  I play with graphics set to low on everything except for the first 4 settings (texture x2, mesh and terrain all on high).  Are you seeing drops in fps in a match?  The loadout menu is very taxing possibly due to character details/lighting but in matches it's not the same.  Could also be that they haven't optimized it though but that is speculation.  Hope you find a solution/answer.
