[Help] How to ENABLE Crossplay on PC/Steam

Yes yada yada you can't turn it off - but it is, my matchmaking button says so and i am only being put into bot lobbies, i usually wait 10 minutes to get enough players for a match to even start

i found the steam post about how to turn it off and instead put "Gst.GameplayEnableCrossplay 1" into my profsave_profile and made it read only (not that this works because on startup all of that gets reverted even if i apply it to higher level folders) and im still getting this

i verified steam files before and after doing this to no avail

I found a workaround, Just invite someone on console to your lobby and it will prompt you to re-enable crossplay.

  • What worked for me was:

    Step 1:
Steam > Settings > Cloud > Disable Steam Cloud.

    Step 2:
    Go to: Documents\Battlefield 6\settings\steam

    Step 3:
    Delete PROFSAVE_profile.

    Step 4:
    Restart Battlefield 6.

Now I can play again, and when I'm searching for lobbies, I don't crash randomly anymore. I can see all the servers again, and when I search for a matchmaking game, I finally see ''Crossplay: YES''.
