Lagging and rubberbanding

Question

I got Redsec only for battlefield and keep trying to play but it is very hard because of the lag and rubberbanding all over the place. I have no packet loss but I have a LOT of latency jumping up to 70ms a lot. I live in the midwest and have heard other people complain about this but have not found a fix. I don't have problems with any other game. And I have 1 gigabit internet so its not on my end I don't think. I tried a VPN which did not really help all that much. Currently its not the end of the world because I have not spent any money on the game, but I really want to buy the full game but wont until I know this issue can be resolved.

husky_coast31​ the lag seems to be causes by ping time fluctuation (jitter).You can see the blue time nudge (TN) line jump up in the LAT/ALAT graph at the exact same time the green latency (LAT) line starts jumping up and down.I recommend running a traceroute to the game server to narrow down where the ping time fluctuation is occuring.Here's how to find the game server IP address and run a traceroute.battlefield 2042 high latency | EA Forums - 6965215If I don't reply you might have to click on my name and send me a personal message saying you replied.
