Launch freeze & crash – Xbox Series S - BF6
Hello,
Since the latest update on January 20, 2026, I’ve been experiencing major issues with Battlefield 6. When launching the game, it freezes and then crashes repeatedly, with no error code displayed. I’ve been unable to launch the game for the past 10 days.
I’m playing on Xbox Series S. The game is digital, fully downloaded on the internal storage (nothing on the cloud).
I have already followed all EA and Microsoft recommended troubleshooting steps:
- full console restart / reconnecting all Xbox cables
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the game
- force-closing the game before restarting
- resetting the console
- checking for updates (console and BF6)
- removing and reconnecting my Microsoft account
- freeing up storage space (160 GB available)
- checking the internet connection, switching networks, running connection tests
- clearing the game cache and reserved space
My graphics and video settings are already set to minimum, crossplay is disabled, and my console is not dusty.
All my other games work perfectly fine (including other Battlefield titles).
Despite opening multiple support cases, nothing has progressed on EA’s side.
If anyone has any suggestions or is experiencing the same issue, I’d really appreciate the help 🙏
