multiplayer problem

My brother and I play almost the entire BF series in the same group, on two computers side by side.
We bought BF6 on Steam, joined the same group, searched, and the game only accepted one of us.
For example, the group leader is PC 1:
PC 1 joins the game, the character on PC 2 stands up and stays.
PC 2 joins the game, the character on PC 1 stands up and stays.
It doesn't matter who the group leader is, and we've been experiencing this problem since yesterday. We haven't even been able to play a single game together yet. When I press Tab and click "Join," the message "You are in the queue, 1/1" appears at the top, and even though the team isn't full, I can't join there either.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
