Overheating message on Xbox Series X, multiplayer is completely unplayable.

Now before anyone comments "it's your console, clean your console" it's not. I've cleaned my console, I've reinstalled BF6, I have my Xbox located in an area that has good ventilation, I don't smoke, the issue only happens with BF6 and I can play singleplayer without issue. The only somewhat solution I found is that if I play singleplayer for a decent amount of time, say 30 minutes or so, I can then switch to multiplayer and play it without getting that overheating message. My guess is that it has something to do with how they optimized BF6 for Xbox, playing singleplayer gives the game time to stabilize, allowing multiplayer to work. I've tested this theory multiple times and can confirm that playing singleplayer for around 30 minutes or so resolves the overheating issue until you close the game and relaunch. If you relaunch, you then have to go into singleplayer again. Is there a fix for this anytime soon EA? I'd like to play the game I payed $70 for or else I'm requesting a refund.

I'm having the same issue. I can play other games just fine.  I tried clearing persistent storage and power cycling as well as messing with some of the settings. I heard if you uninstall HD textures, that might work, but I have yet to test it. A definitive fix for this would be nice as it makes the game completely unplayable.

I did however, get to to play for a couple days with no issues. Then all of a sudden yesterday it kicks me off saying it overheated during every match

Same exact issue here. Only happens with BF6, certainly not actually overheating, I’ve cleaned it, moved from my Seagate memory card to the hard drive, heck I’ve even put an air conditioner pointed directly at the console. EA please advise, this is a big issue for series X players. Happens mostly customizing weapons but has also happened at the main menu and once in a game.

This is an EA Issue. This happens on NHL 25/26, UFC, Fifa, Madden, Flight Sim, now BF6, etc. Oddly it doesn't happen on Apex. I have sent my console in for warranty bc EA said it's my console and was told no issues with my Xbox X. I don't have this issue with any other games.

I went to the lengths of even taken my xbox apart after the fact and cleaning it and adding new thermal paste, changing settings on my monitor and xbox, new routers, uninstall/reinstall, ethernet, changing my internet provider.... literally everything. If you look at the EA NHL forums you will see the same issue happens currently.

I believe they patched it for Madden but that's the only game that has had a fix for it.

Do not let EA tell you it's your console, because it's not. EA admin's in the NHL forum have explicitly stated that it is not a console issue and that they are trying to recreate the problem to ID the solution.

As well, some people will tell you that it has to do with the age of your console.... it has nothing to do with that. I have two friends that don't have this issue and one has a brand new xbox x and the other has an xbox x that was purchased upon release. I purchased my xbox x a year after release.
