Packet Loss and Latency Issues on Large Scale Battle Maps/Gamemodes

I’ve been experiencing constant packet loss and latency issues mainly when playing the large scale battle maps/game modes but when switching to the smaller scale maps the issue is gone completely.  It’s like playing the game in slow motion basically when I just try to deal with it on the bigger maps/modes.

I’m running the game on a gaming laptop with a 13th gen i7, rtx 4070 and 16 GB RAM. When the packet loss/latency issues aren’t happening (rarely)  I’m running the game smoothly with around 100+ fps and my connection is completely fine (tested other games and conducted internet speed tests).

I've posted about this on Reddit and have found that many others are experiencing this issue as well even with better PC set ups also. Hopefully this gets fixed, pretty bummed out that I can’t experience the craziness of the large scale battles BF is known for.

EDIT: A work around for this issue for me is the community servers. I’ve played large scale maps and battles with little to no issues. Hopefully this helps you guys out. Still sucks that we can’t play the official servers without having to deal with this.

  • same for me. me and enemys teleporting around the map, half my bullets aren't real and i have only half the fire rate, only in large battles its completely unplayable. on the smaller ones like team deathmatch everything is good. and its very weird cause i have a steady 60 ping even with issues.

Same problem. Playing in slowmo not hitting enemies in front of me, cant revive m8's as a medic unless i try it 2-4 times, granates not flying its terrible

  • I have the same problem with my i7 12700k and an RTX 5070Ti. I had no problems during Beta and now it can't reach stable 60FPS. I tried changing all kinds of graphic settings, but it still wouldn't run without latency and package losses. I turned on FrameGen 2x and that seems to take of load from my CPU and the game runs more stable now. But still not smooth...

  • Same issue here. AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX, NVIDIA RTX 4080 Laptop GPU. 32 GB of DDR5 RAM. C'mon EA! Fix your servers!

  • I have the exact same issue. Paying $80 for a game and then having to turn all settings to low, go into the BIOS, and change things I’ve never had to touch for any other game just feels really unnecessary. My PC specs are well above the minimum requirements, so I honestly don’t understand why this is happening. I’ve never experienced anything like this in any other game on this computer until I downloaded Battlefield 6. I really hope you guys can fix this problem soon.
