I’ve been experiencing constant packet loss and latency issues mainly when playing the large scale battle maps/game modes but when switching to the smaller scale maps the issue is gone completely. It’s like playing the game in slow motion basically when I just try to deal with it on the bigger maps/modes.I’m running the game on a gaming laptop with a 13th gen i7, rtx 4070 and 16 GB RAM. When the packet loss/latency issues aren’t happening (rarely) I’m running the game smoothly with around 100+ fps and my connection is completely fine (tested other games and conducted internet speed tests). I've posted about this on Reddit and have found that many others are experiencing this issue as well even with better PC set ups also. Hopefully this gets fixed, pretty bummed out that I can’t experience the craziness of the large scale battles BF is known for. EDIT: A work around for this issue for me is the community servers. I’ve played large scale maps and battles with little to no issues. Hopefully this helps you guys out. Still sucks that we can’t play the official servers without having to deal with this.

I have the exact same issue. Paying $80 for a game and then having to turn all settings to low, go into the BIOS, and change things I’ve never had to touch for any other game just feels really unnecessary. My PC specs are well above the minimum requirements, so I honestly don’t understand why this is happening. I’ve never experienced anything like this in any other game on this computer until I downloaded Battlefield 6. I really hope you guys can fix this problem soon.

I had the exact same problem, and I swear, I tried everything with no luck. The only thing that worked for me was going to the "COMMUNITY" and searching for a Conquest server with a good connection. Luckily, I was able to play without any problems afterward.Some people suggested it's related to a CPU or RAM issue, but I'm not so sure. I think I would still be experiencing the problem in that case. Since I'm not, I believe it must be some kind of server or connection problem.

Same thing. I've tried overclocking my CPU (I have no xmp in my bios), copy-pasting User.cfg configs into the game's directory, switching from cable enthernet to wi-fi, playing on lowest possible settings and trying different framegen and resolution settings. Nothing worked. Something tells me that it's a EA server issue that has nothing to do with your pc. Otherwise, I can't explain why this problem is absent when I play on community servers. I've also had no issues playing the 64 player modes in 2042 on high settings, even without overclocking my cpu.

Hello, activating xmp on my RAM fixed the issue for me. It was running 2133Mhz by default and activating the feature to push the frequency to 3600Mhz fixed it. Works perfectly running 100FPS avg now (3900x + 2080Ti)https://youtube.com/shorts/-J1jomNkn2s?si=ru45GGHY0nbyGRBT

Same issue, my ping is <50ms. Don't seem to have any packet loss, but the cpu would randomly spike up to 100% and the game would drop from 80's to 40's. Sometimes the game feels like slowmotion for no reason at all. My cpu is above recommended spec

Open your settings and look at the bottom right. My profile tenancy has me connect through Santiago Chile. I am on the east coast of the US. I've seen other players report the same and experience the slow motion and lag. I haven't seen a fix for it yet.

Same issue here. Can not play on the server at all. Feels like I'm just free floating, everyone is skipping across the map, can not really shoot or anything. Even with the friends I have with the Santiago default common server issue, they still do not have issues. It really feels bad being only restricted to small scale or community servers. Hopefully they fix this and soon. Paying this much money for a game I can only half play feels bad.

Unfortunately, when I enabled this and tried to hop into a match, my battlefield would crash and then files would end up needing to be verified. As soon as I disabled XMP, I could at least "play" a match and deal with the latency issues.

I am also having this issue.

Speed tests for my wired home network show north of 600mbs download with 10-20ms of latency. Other online games do not lag at all.

I noticed when the issue occurs, if I then point my POV to an area of the map where there isn't much going on, (behind your spawn on a breakthrough gamemode) the icons in the top left of the screen for latency variation and packet loss go away.
I have been a battlefield player for years and the game becomes almost unplayable. If this continues I will have to consider a refund as I want to play official servers not just the custom ones.

I am also having this issue. I just bought BF6 and I noticed it immediately in the first match i played. I adjusted some settings and nothign helped, I have above the minimum specs for the game and my wifi is great, im just not sure what to do. I hope this is fixed soon.

Same problem for me. I'm not talking about FPS (frames). Performance wise, no issues. But connectivity issues on bigger maps, packet loss, rubberbanding, etc.
I went to "custom" maps, full map, 64 players conquest (no bots) and everything worked perfectly. I know it is not my internet as I have great and stable internet connection, no issues in any other game ever and I was checking packet loss while playing the game - everything was perfect. That means it is something on EA side, with their servers.
