Packet loss problem on handheld device (Rog ally)

Hi everyone

I’ve been playing Battlefield 6 on the ROG Ally and noticed a packet loss issue

  • Small maps / short modes work fine with no packet loss.
  • Large-scale modes like Conquest and Rush consistently show packet loss.
  • This only happens in Battlefield 6. I tested another games such like delta f….. under the same network and had no issues.
  • The ROG Ally uses a MediaTek Wi-Fi chip, which seems to struggle when Battlefield 6 has heavy network load.
  • Using a USB LAN dongle fixes the issue, but that’s not practical for a handheld device.

This doesn’t seem related to performance (CPU/GPU), but more to Battlefield 6’s networking under large-map conditions.

Hopefully this can be looked into. Thanks.

  • Agreed. Same issue. I found threads on Reddit that say it’s an over use of resources and if you lower resolution, 45 fps cap and low settings it becomes playable with only minor hiccups but still unacceptable as we should be able to use our desired settings like before.
