Forum Discussion
Hi,
I can see a lot of poeple have been reporting problems, but can't quit find my problem the same exact way.
I have a complete new pc with the following components:
ASUS TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT OC
ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR X870E APEX
Kingston FURY Beast RGB DDR5 6000MHz 32GB
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU
Asus ROG Strix 1200W Platinum PSU
Corsair Nautilus 360 RS LCD
Windows 11 Pro
The game crashes after a few minuts, like 5-10 min. That means i need to push the power button on the pc to turn it of, and then restart it again.
Have tried the following changes:
1. Removed amd ryzen master and regedit info.
2. Sett memory to 5800 mhz
3. Turned of all overlay in ea game, adrenalin, discord, steam ect
4. Set the game to dx11
5. No overclocking
6. Removed, updated and installed anticheat a few times.
7. Been trying different resolutions in the game.
Done the most things Google Gemini recommended after googling the problems.
I don't get a crash code, since the game completly freezes and i can't do anything then restart.
It makes me sad, that i can't play the game, with my new pc. This was one of the reason for using 4k euro on the pc.
Any help would be great.
best
Sven

Try these solutions; they are working for many users. I personally preferred to use only the USB stick solution, but for your setup, you might need to enable the integrated GPU. Try both solutions. Good luck!
Enabling the iGPU
Plugging a USB flash drive into the back of the motherboard—specifically into the port used to update the BIOS

Thanks,
Two follow up questions to your answere.
1. Gemini recommended turning of the ryzen "gpu". I guess thats what you mean?
2. Just a random flash drive with nothing in it? May i ask why this help? :)

Regarding Gemini’s recommendation, it is not entirely accurate. On certain motherboard models, the integrated GPU (iGPU) must be enabled in the BIOS to prevent system crashes. Regarding the USB stick, it can be empty—the crucial factor is that it is connected to the rear USB port on the motherboard, specifically the one used for BIOS updates. This configuration can also help prevent crashes after approximately 17–15 minutes of gameplay. It should be noted that these workarounds may vary depending on the motherboard manufacturer. In my experience, using an MSI motherboard, the crash can be resolved by inserting the USB stick while keeping the iGPU disabled. According to some users—since neither EA nor DICE has issued an official statement—this issue appears to stem from a conflict between the game’s anti-cheat system and kernel-level services. While these explanations remain speculative, these solutions have proven effective for now, pending an official patch from EA.

Did try this two things you recommended. But pc again freezes after about 10-15 min in the middle of the game.
I have 3 usb-c contacts on the back. Does it matter in witch of them I put the usb-c disk into? Tok the one in the middle of them, because i have been updating bios with that plug before.
Also changed to iGPU like you told.

If system instability or crashes persist even after applying the updates released on May 5, connect a USB flash drive to the system. The drive may already contain data—this will not affect the procedure—but it must be inserted into a rear I/O USB port directly on the motherboard, as illustrated in the attached image. Afterward, attempt to launch and run the game again to verify system stability.
As an alternative, you may enable the integrated GPU (iGPU) via BIOS/UEFI settings. However, the effectiveness of this approach can vary depending on the specific motherboard model, particularly across MSI and ASUS platforms.

Hi Legonerden ,
If the issue is resolved after trying this, please feel free to return to the forum and let us know. It may also help us collect more possible solutions for similar issues.
Thanks again!

Hi, I have merged your post into the main thread since it is the same issue and involves the same workaround.

Hi again,
I want to add something. Do not install latest AMD adrenalin software. I did the misstake last night and installed through Asus Driverhub, the update for AMD.
After that the game started to freeze again. So i did a unswipe of the adrenaline softeware with the amd removel tool (without internet connection, so unplug wifi / lan), and then i did a reinstall of an older version from desember 2025.Also did this changes to the adrenalin software, not sure if it helps, but when i googled it before, it got mentioned. (sorry, it's in Norwegian, but i hope the picture says it anyway).
After that, i could again play for more then one hour, and had no freezing again.
