Hello, I've been struggling with this problem for six months now. It manifests itself strangely: you can play for a couple hours and everything will be fine, but then it crashes the 6th or 7th game because of it. It freezes so completely that I have to reboot the computer with the button. Sometimes resetting the secure boot keys helps, but not always. What's interesting is that before the freeze, the FPS can drop from 120 to 50-40 for a few seconds, followed by the game crashing. During the freeze, the Windows log shows an error message saying "You need to update your secure boot keys/CA," but updating them doesn't solve the problem. Also, if I wait a few seconds during a freeze, I get a BSOD with the stop code "DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION."
OC: Windows 10 22H2
MB: Gigabyte X870E elite wifi 7
Processor: Ryzen 9800X3D (No overclocking)
Graphic Card: RTX 5090 (Undervolted, Driver 591.86)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 2x32 6000MHz
The game is installed on an SSD, which passes all integrity checks.
P.S. Undervolting the video card didn't affect this issue; I tested it with the stock card and it didn't help. Moreover, these issues don't occur in more demanding games like CB2077, Wukong, RE9, etc.

Hello, sorry for such a late reply. Here is the file.

Thank you. It looks like you're running a hybrid GPU setup. Both Nvidia and AMD GPUs are active. Disabled the AMD iGPU. This can be done in the Windows Device Manager. Look for AMD Radeon Graphics and disable it. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!

Unfortunately, it didn't work. I played 4-5 rounds, but the game still freezes.

Thanks for trying that. Here are some other suggestions:
- Use DDU in safe mode to remove the Nvidia and AMD drivers. Then, reinstall ONLY the latest Nvidia drivers. Do not install the AMD GPU driver
- Turn off Hardware GPU Scheduling. This can be done at Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics > Default settings > Disable
- Disable any overlays. GeForce Experience, Discord, Steam, EA App, etc.
- You're on Windows 10. Upgrading to Windows 11 may help with this. Just something to consider.
Let me know what happens. Thank you!

Hi,
My wife is experiencing the same, she was doing fine until today, no game updates, no windows updates, no drivers, etc. Basically, from nowhere:
Her specs:

ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX ™ 5070 Ti 16GB GDDR7 BTF White OC Edition
Crucial Pro DDR5 RAM 64GB Kit (2x32GB) 6400MHz
Samsung SSD 9100 PRO 1TB, PCIe 5.0x4 M.2 2280 for the game
Only steam and the game is running on her PCPart of the troubleshooting included:
Installing the latest W11 patches
Installing the latest bios from Asus
Installing the latest drivers for Nvidia, chipset, network
Removing the curve offset of -30
Resetting the bios to default
Reseating the VGA and RAM
Her issue persist. My setup is almost the same but with a 5090 and 2TB of 9100pro, no freezes for me.

suggestion don't work ... i think nobody from EA read what people say and try to blame them ... not nice . This needs to be excaladate to youtube to have an impact , maybe then EA will take this mather serious and investigate what they broke on the game

Hi there. Thanks for the DxDiag. It looks like you just updated your Nvidia driver. Try using DDU in Safe Mode to remove it and then install an older driver. Let me know how it goes.
- MrSpicy19965 days agoSeasoned Novice
I updated my NVIDIA Driver this morning. The first freezes happened yesterday before the driver update.

Can you get me a DxDiag report? Instructions for this can be in the article here. I'll go over it and give you some suggestions.
- NahilDzz5 days agoSeasoned Novice
Sure.
X3D is linked to all the players complains. And that's begun not just after the update , but like 7 or 8 hours later .

I tried Battlefield 6, Battlefield 5, and Battlefield 1, and all three games freeze my PC for about 10 to 15 minutes, forcing me to restart using the reset button. It seems the problem is with the anti-cheat! Please fix this; it's the weekend!

I may have a workaround for this.
Setting run as administrator for bf6.exe and EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe in game folder helped me.
Completed 2 matches without freezing.

I'm having the same problem, all I wanted was to play a little after work T.T, I play for about 10-20 minutes and my PC completely freezes, I have to reboot. My configuration is a Ryzen 7 7800x3d and 5070 ti, I tried uninstalling the game, deleting the documents and appdata files and installing it again, but the error persisted.

I have the same issue with my 7950x3d, 256 gb ram, rtx 5090. Everything was working great until April 15. On the 16th, I installed an update on BF6 and within 15 minutes of launching a game, my pc froze. It was a processor lockup, no response to mouse movement, alt-f4 or any other keyboard presses. The image on screen was frozen. I power cycled my pc. I switched to Battlefield 1 and played the campaign for 20 minutes, and it froze the same way. I didn't have any issues playing other games such as Flight simulator 2024. This looks like an EA anti cheat update issue. Please improve your QA before releasing game breaking updates to the public.
