Player Owned Dedicated servers
People, we are stuck in 2026 playing an FPS game, that runs between 30hz and 60hz, on cloud ran virtualized machines. Ever wonder why the feel of BF3 and BF4 are so much better? maybe the fact that we, the fan base actually supported the hardware costs so we could afford 128 tic servers, our own map rotations, and manage the cheater issue with our own admins. You found your servers, you favorited them and you played the game. Now, EA eats all the cost, and because its a cost, they want to save money by running low tic servers, and skinny VM's that don't have the horse power to run our games crisply. Then, while BF3 had client side hit detection, they decide bf6 will have server validation, which is fine, if the servers weren't so weak. Want to stop dying around corners? Want to stop having every other bullet not hit because they just disappear between the gaps of desync? Give us back our servers.
It will save you money on backend, it will give your fans better experiences. Because right now, you have a bleeding player base, that isnt earning you any real money as your game dies.
Just do it, (whispers) do it.
